Your first CHALLENGE this year is FUNDRAISING!
There is a high level of support from the public for soldiers, and SOLDIER CHALLENGE is a great way to show yours. Make it a team effort and beat the rest.
It has never been simpler! This year we’ve set up the entry page to help you at every step – simply follow the path to Just Giving site and email the link to everyone you know, facebook it, tweet it, everything goes!
We have embedded some logos and some branding to help you along the way, just simply download the files from this page.
ALL the money raised goes directly to THE SOLDIERS’ CHARITY and our soldiers who are in need of support. There are many ways that you can start your fundraising drive but here are a few points to point you in the right direction:
Friends, family and colleagues should definitely help kick-start your fundraising, make sure they are all aware of your Just Giving page and your team’s goals.
If you and your team are serving soldiers, why not promote some inter-unit rivalry or add the event to your adventure training schedule, get around your muckers and square this away (last year one team raised £7’000!).
If you’re a school student why not speak to the teachers and organise anything from a day-without-uniform across the school, to a special assembly to tell everyone what and why you are taking part in SOLDIER CHALLENGE.
University students could approach the Student Union, UOTC, or other organisations within the University to help promote support – why not encourage others to enter to add an extra bit of competition!
If you work in an office, SOLDIER CHALLENGE is a great way to rally the troops and to get the whole company behind you, whether they support your fundraising, turn up on the day or enter competing teams... we’re sure they’ll be curious about what you have gotten yourself into!
If you plan on carrying a rucksack (or “Bergen” in Army speak) don’t forget to make a Bergen Bucket in your rucksack – as you run around London it is a great way to collect that little bit extra!
Remember there will be a special prize for the highest fundraising team... so get moving and remember why we help, how we help and how you can help...
