Bear Grylls supports the Soldier Challenge:
“This for me is exciting. I always try and support The Soldiers’ Charity and what they’re doing today is launching the Soldiers’ Challenge, which is going to be a really fun series of urban adventure challenges all around the capital, and that takes place in the spring. It’s going to be a team event and they’re going to do cool things like an obstacle course in the moat at the Tower of London. The Soldiers Challenge is all about supporting soldiers for life. The charity needs that support more than ever, all the conflicts that are going on. I try and lend my support whenever I can, I’ve brought a load of scouts down. We’ve got half a million scouts in this country who want to get behind events like this for causes that really make a difference.”
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson said:
'The Soldier Challenge is a brilliant idea. For those taking part it will be a unique way to explore the city, getting you into places you might not normally be able to, and testing your mental agility as well as your physical endurance. Most importantly, it will also be raising money for soldiers, veterans and their families. For their dedication and sacrifice I urge people to give it a go and if you can't, please give generously to this great cause.'
